Every Thursday on our social channels, we post tools and methods for you to optimize your digital marketing strategy. In case you missed the weekly posts, here are the highlights of the “Trail Tips” from January.
Trail Tip: Break the Rule.
Google announced that longer meta descriptions will drive more traffic to your site. Descriptions up to 300 characters long allow for compelling and expressive snippets can motivate users to click the URL. For more tactics to implement in 2018, check out our monthly post, “What’s New in Search.”
Trail Tip: Optimize Your Email Nurture Campaigns.
Stay in front of your prospects and guests through lifecycle email marketing. Discover how to generate independence, direct traffic, and motivate guests through email marketing. Discover more tips in our white paper, “8 Tips to Turn One-Time Leads into Lifelong Guests.”
Trail Tip: Investigate Your Bounce Rate.
A second seems short but it significantly impacts your bounce rate. If a page loads in 1 second, the bounce rate is 7% but by 5 seconds it increases to 38%. In addition to speed, visitors also bounce because of poor content, so focus on publishing engaging content that loads quickly.
