Grace O’Shea | Digital Marketing Specialist

“Something’s lost and something’s gained from living every day”, from “Both Sides Now”
– by Joni Mitchell.

Grace O’Shea is originally from the outskirts of Boston, MA and has lived in Nashville for almost 7 years now. She moved down to Nashville to pursue a Music Business degree at Belmont University and fell in love with the city.

Grace has worn a multitude of hats professionally, working mainly in roles that utilize her marketing & writing capabilities. Outside of work, she’s heavily involved in the music scene—writing songs, playing writer’s rounds, fronting her all female, lgbtqia+ band, and even starting up a new show series cleverly named the “Gay Ole Opry”. Beyond music, Grace loves to be active—whether that’s on the soccer/softball field, in a rock-climbing gym, or out on a hike!

Best Part of Bluetent: Being part of a collaborative team who all want the best for each other!

Pursuits: Songwriting, Show Promotion, Production, Being a better guitar player, & getting better at rock climbing!! I’d also love to travel more this year.

Alternate Dream Job: I feel like I’m already “living the dream” in a lot of ways. I’m incredibly passionate about music, and being so heavily involved here in Nashville brings a lot of fulfillment. But, I would love to be a full-time musician one day, playing notable venues and making a living off of my art.

Inspired By: Brandi Carlile is a huge inspiration of mine professionally. I aim to garner that kind of respect for the work I do, and the reverence she has for both her and others’ work is inspiring. On a more personal note, a lot of how I live my life is heavily inspired by my grandmother, who was quite the remarkable lady. She believed in hard work, but also enjoying yourself. She was a steadfast supporter of me and my work, and I draw a lot of inspiration from her.
